Van Hire General Terms & Conditions
Payment Terms
All hire charges & deposits are required in full before commencement of hire.
All rates quoted include vat, insurance, theft cover, & unlimited mileage unless stated.
A credit card will be required at the start of all rentals for security purposes,The card will be imprinted any additional charges due will be charged to it (we accept all major credit cards mastercard/visa/switch/solo/visa electron.
On confirmation of a booking a deposit of £25.00 will be required (which is non refundable).
Insurance
Insurance is subject to an excess (£750.00)
Which will be charged to your credit card and refunded when vehicle is returned in same condition as when hired.
Age Conditions
Minimum age for hiring a vehicle is 23 years old ,The maximum age for hiring a vehicle is 70 years old.
You must have held a full licence for a least 12 months, In certain cases endorsements may incur a surcharge.
Hire Times
Hire times are for a period of 24 hours, from when the vehicle is booked out… A charge of £10.00 + vat per hour will be charged on any vehicle that is late being returned . Unless agreed with ELM SELF STORE
Fuel
On collection of your vehicle it will have a full tank of fuel, Please return the vehicle with a full tank because if ELM SELF STORE have to add fuel it will be charged @ £1.50 per litre. All of our vehicles are diesel powered in the unlikely event of a hirer filling the vehicle with the wrong fuel, the hirer is liable (This is not covered by your insurance) for the total cost of the replacement fuel & any costs or damage incurred including lost revenue from future rentals
Breakdown
In the unlikely event of a vehicle breakdown, it is the hirers responsibility in the first instance to report the breakdown to ELM SELF STORE.
Vehicle damage
It is the hirers responsibility to ensure care is taken with tyres (including spare tyres) as wheel punctures sidewall damage (due to vehicles being driven against kerbs) wheel trim loss, missing fuel caps broken or damaged mirrors, broken aerials, lenses etc. Loss of any parts including radio tools overhead damage to longwheel base high top vehicles are not covered by insurance. In these cases the hirer is responsible for the total cost to replace.
Parking speeding congestion fines.
The named driver shall sign a disclaimer on collection of the vehicle which will be dated timed and signed to indemnify ELM SELF STORE against any liabilities due, including all parking speeding congestion or highway contraventions, which will be signed on return of the vehicle. An administration charge of £25.00 + vat will be charged for any administration involving this to forward to the relevant authorities.
REQUIREMENTS FOR VAN HIRE
On collection of your vehicle, you the hirer will have to provide proof of identification, You will need to provide your driving licence both parts (photograph & paper) these must be originals as photo copies will not be accepted. Also one other form of identification confirming an address , We accept( passport works id card credit card statement or current bank statement).
